My favorite place to play golf on Sanibel Island is "The Dunes"  it is a very challenging course with water coming into play on every hole, large deep sand traps and it is very well maintained . There are several tee box  choices to play to everyones skill ability ! 

The course winds along many ponds and small lakes where you feel like your playing a round of golf at a very special place.

The tennis Program is truly first class, I don,t play tennis personally but I can tell you the por shop and the services offered will please the beginner all the way to the advance player.

There are currently 17 homes listed for sale located in the Dunes Golf and Tennis Club. Most of the construction is elevated construction so your view over the golf course is very impressive ! I suggest you view homes with a western exposure overlooking the course at sunset !  The sunsets view through the clouds can be ever changing and are simpling amazing regardless to how many years you have been here enjoying the sunsets !

Sanibel Island Florida real estate. I was out showing property last week on Sanibel Island and I wanted to stop by the condo development I that lived a a while. in fact on vacation on sanibel island for over 10 years before buying a guld access waterfront home in Cape Coral Florida.

I know Sanibel Island very well after spending so many years on the island. The fishing, shelling dinning and the golf on the island. I am very knowledgeable about the island and my top suggestions for condo developments, single family waterfront homes and golf course living. There are also some foreclosures that have recently pop up on the market and are a very good deal considering the real estate market on Sanibel has really held its value compared to a lot of other cities in southwest Florida.

One of the prime locations is at the very south end of the island near the Sanibel Island Light House. The beach and the fishing pier are both a short distance out your back door! The view across the back bay to Fort Myers is always a great view of dolphins, wild life and all shapes, sizes ,and styles of boats heading out to the gulf of Mexico.

I would like to share with all my blog readers, the wonderful beach island resort I showed condos to some clients last week.  This is the gulf coast island resort of Sundial, located on world famous sea shell loaded beach with natural beauty. The walk down the beach will amaze you with the outstanding display of wild life.

Sanibel Island Real estate is truely something very special. An Island that is 3 miles wide and 13 miles long offers the trolly's"Island Lifestyle " Like no where else. The beaches, the wildlife and the endless sunsets still even amaze me today ! I have been a vacationer and home owner on Sanibel before selling in 1997 and buying our Gulf Access Waterfront home in Cape Coral Florida.

Last week my Daughter was here on Spring Break from Michigan, She asked that we we go and spend the day on the beach? We went to  lighthouse point at the end of the island on Sanibel. Here is where I took these pictures.  I always enjoy going to the beach seeing the dolphins, trying to catch fish from the shore or walking the shoreline watching the sun set and looking for sea shells all at the same time.  

Yes, Sanibel Island is a great place to own a vacation or retirement home. Live , work or play ! It is truly is a great destination for fun in southwest Florida. The adventures on Sanbibel Island are endless!

Today I was pre-viewing a Bank Owned Foreclosure Property for a client on Sanibel Island. After taking a few pictures to email my clients in Canada, I went down the the Light House Point of the Island and went out and took a couple pictures to share with all my clients and Friends that read my real estate blog weekly at www.SWFloridaRealtorsBlog.com 

 The picture of above is a Dolphin that was just breaking water off the beach of Sanibel Island, The Pictures below shos all the people at the beach hunting for sea shells and enjoying the wonderful weather today.

  The wildlife is pretty used to people I was able to get within 5 feet of the Bird and took a close up picture .

Sanibel Island Florida has been a part of my life for over 20 years! Being a past owner/vacationer on the Island, I have seen the Island change over the years. June 28th 2007 marked the last day the drawbridge was opened opened of the last time. I used to be able to see in the distance, the sailboats going toward the bride from my balcony on my condo at lighthouse Point ! Please Don't get me wrong, I always complained on waiting for the drawbridge when the traffic backed up on the bridge! But I must admit, the view on the bridge with the boats, people fishing and Pelicans flying by will not be enjoyed as well from the taller bridge span replacing the old drawbridge. There was something to be said about the view that made entering Sanibel Island special. As a Realtor, I meet and talk to so many people that live, work and play on Sanibel island. I bet if you asked them about the new bridge change? You might be surprised the amount of people that will tell you they miss the bridge that was there so long that made you stop look and enjoy the great lifestyle!
